SUBSTRATES AND INDOLE-3-BUTYRIC ACID IN MINI-CUTTINGS ROOTING OF Carya illinoinensis (WANGENH) K. KOCH

Mini-cutting technique of tree species is an effective method maintaining desirable features plant matrices and uniformity. The objective the present research was to determine substrate concentration indolebutyric acid (IBA) more suitable for mini-cuttings Carya illinoinensis rooting. experiment carried out in a greenhouse with mist, from February May 2018. used experimental design blocks factorial arrangement 3 x 5, which three substrates were tested: carbonized rice husk, vermiculite perlit; five IBA : 0, 2,000, 4,000, 6,000 8,000 mg L-1. apical, produced seedlings, eight months age. Mini-cuttings made two leaves cut half 8 10 cm length. use influenced results obtained all substrates, except variable number roots, only effect observed. However, higher uses together obtaining estimated maximum point 91% rooted 3,957 L-1 concentration. For other evaluated variables, root numbers, it also observed superior close 4,000 husk. Results indicate possibility propagation by mini-cutting as alternative this specie plantlets production.
